Adult CPR / AED Classes

For the adult CPR / AED and BLS courses, we use Big Reds LightSaving manikins. These manikins use a responsive LED technology that mimics blood flow through the body and to the brain, giving students instant visual feedback on their technique. Along with the LED lights, a clicker mechanism  provides instant feedback for correct depth compression.
Pediatric CPR Class

Infant CPR / AED Classes

For the infant CPR / AED and BLS courses, we use an infant manikin with a CPR monitor. The manikins are realistic in look and weight and feature a clicker mechanism that provides instant feedback on the depth and timing of chest compression. They also provide visual light cues to let the students know when the correct compression rate has been reached.

How to use AED

Our CPR and BLS classes with AED are designed to teach you how to use an automated external defibrillator on both kids and adults. This way, you can provide care - no matter where you are or who the "patient" may be.

Unfortunately, unless you take actions to retain your skills, you're likely to forget how and when to use an AED.  So, to help you stay prepared we offer online refresher materials that allow you to test your skills as often as you'd like.

We also provide you with access to a printable list of the basic steps for using an AED that you can keep at your desk, in your first aid kit, and more - and review them at any time.

Responding to specific situations

When you understand first aid, you'll gain the ability to help those in need. Through our first aid certification classes you'll learn how to respond to specific situations, which will help you care for people in crisis as they wait for medical professionals to arrive. This gives them the best opportunity for a positive outcome - and gives you the opportunity to change someone's life for the better.

Designed to help non-medical professionals provide assistance in times of crisis, our courses allow you to gain an understanding of first aid best practices for a wide range of conditions, including:
• Asthma emergencies
• Anaphylaxis

Imagine yourself in a situation where you needed to perform lifesaving procedures and you didn't know what to do. I was faced with that situation not too long ago and that's why I decided to become CPR certified. I became an American Red Cross licensed training provider soon after. I chose to become a CPR instructor because of the situation I faced. There was an incident with an older gentleman where he needed CPR and my first instinct was to run away because I was scared and I didn't know what to do.

While my husband and the gentleman's wife were performing CPR with the help of the 911 dispatcher, I stood outside waiting for the ambulance to arrive feeling helpless and hopeless. That's when I decided I should become CPR certified. After taking the American Red Cross CPR / AED / First Aid class, the skills I learned helped me feel more confident if I was again faced with a situation where someone needed my immediate help. I would like to teach you what to do if the situation arises and give you the confidence to help and not feel hopeless.

I offer two types of classes. One is an all-day class where I go through each step of first-aid, CPR and AED. The other is designed as a blended course where you take an online portion at home at your convenience and then do the hands-on skill sets with me in my classroom. I can also come to your home or office for 1 on 1 or group onsite training. Our online + classroom (also known as a Blended Courses) are becoming one of our more popular ways to get a CPR certification.
I offer adult and pediatric classes with the latest technology to help you succeed to become certified. The class atmosphere is very relaxed and is designed to help you achieve your goal to get certified, gain confidence, and have some fun. The American Red Cross certification is good for 2 years and meets OSHA requirements. Whether you are a first-time mom, someone whose parents are getting older, or need certification for your job or company, I can help get you certified.
